Chennai Super Kings Vice-Captain Suresh Raina returns to India for personal reasons.
After Covid-19 shivers in the team, Chennai Super Kings has got another blow in the name of Suresh Raina.
The dashing pinch hitter will no longer play this year’s IPL season due to unknown personal reasons.The news has been confirmed by the CSK CEO KS Viswanathan through the CSK’s official twitter handle.
Post announcing his retirement on August 15 along with MS Dhoni, Raina travelled to Dubai with CSK squad on August 21.He has been in quarantine for a week as per BCCI’s guidelines.The reasons for Raina’s return to India is unknown, but considering the severity, Raina is said to be opted out from IPL 2020.
Not only the CSK team, but it is a big jolt to CSK fans as well.
Because, throughout 12 seasons Suresh Raina has been a key batsman after MS Dhoni, Faf du Plessis, and Shane Watson.Chennai fans used to call him ‘Chinna Thala’ which means ‘Second Leader’.
