Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) CEO Rakesh Kumar was arrested by CBI few days back and he was taken into custody for further interrogation.Rakesh exposed some stunning revelations about his bribes.

CBI officials found out that the director of Central Board of Film Certification, Rakesh Kumar had accepted the cash bribe of Rs 50,000 for screening the Telugu version Sikander, and a Lenovo laptop and an Apple iPad for arranging the speedy screening of the Tamil version before the board cleared the censor formalities.

‘’Kumar took a laptop and an I-pad to grant certificate to the Tamil film `Anjaan’.

The film was submitted on July 24 for certification; he examined it six days later and issued the certificate on August 5.On August 9, He took Rs 50,000 to issue certificate to Telugu version of a film called `Sikander’’’CBI lawyer told court

The CBI has also found the CCTV footage of Rakesh Kumar taking bribe and accepting gifts at a coffee shop in Mumbai.CBI sleuths have gathered the details of the middle men who arrange the deals between Rakesh and film producers.

“We suspect that other than taking bribe for censor certificates, Kumar was also taking money during the screening process by threatening to cut certain parts if he was not paid,” a CBI officer told

The central probe agency arrested Kumar on August 18 for taking bribe for clearing a regional film through an agent.So far three people have been arrested in this case: Kumar, censor board agent Shripati Mishra and member of the advisory panel of CBFC Sarvesh Jaiswal.
