International Cricket Council has appointed Geoff Allardice CEO

Dubai, November 21st : , The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Sunday elected Geoff Allardice as its interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).Allardice was in this role for eight months.
Allardice is a former first-class player who represented Victoria in 14 matches of Australian domestic cricket between 1991 and 1994.He replaces Manu Seehney, who was suspended for four months.

Allardice was the ICC CEO before he also held the position of General Manager (Cricket), for eight years.He had previously been a similar leader at Cricket Australia (CA).

Allardice released a statement announcing his permanent appointment.He said, “It is a great honor to be appointed CEO of the ICC.I want to thank Greg and all the ICC Board members for giving me the chance to guide the sport in this exciting new stage of growth.” I will continue to be focused on the best interests of our sport, and work closely with my fellow members in order to ensure long-term sustainability and success.

“I also want to thank the ICC staff and their support during the past eight months.I look forward to serving cricket with such a talented group.”
