FADA President Vinkesh Gulati stated that the semi-conductor shortage, which had already become a serious crisis, showed its true colors when, despite a healthy demand for vehicles, we couldn’t meet customers’ needs.SUV, Compact-SUV, and luxury vehicle categories were all hit with a severe shortage.

On the contrary, demand for entry-level cars was subdued as people in this segment continued to save money because of their healthcare costs.Low sales continue to be a problem for the 2W segment, with the entry-level category continuing to suffer the most.

Demand was low due to rural poverty, high fuel costs and people saving money for health emergencies.
