This is India’s first ad featuring lesbian couple and in just 10 days, across Facebook, Twitter, and various forms of social media, the ad has scored over 3 million hits.
The ad was released for the fashion company, Anouk Ethnic apparel.
Ethnic wear brand Anouk, retailed on fashion portal Myntra, has released an ad featuring two women preparing to meet the parents of one to introduce themselves as a couple.
The Anouk ad, titled ‘The Visit’ and part of the brand’s ‘Bold is Beautiful’ series and showcases the nervousness of a lesbian couple before one of them meets the other’s parents.
This is one of the first ads featuring a lesbian couple to go viral in India.The three-minute ad does a perfect job in communicating what it aims to – beautifully and subtly.
The ad agency says their video will pave way for the change in society’s way of seeing same-sex couples living together.Unsurprisingly, the ad has already gained over 27 lakh hits since it was released on YouTube on May 28. To Watch The Video
