India rises one position in world rankings of average mobile speed: According to the report

New Delhi, Aug 17 : India has gained one position in the world ranking for median mobile speeds.It was ranked at 117th in July, up from the 118th position in June the report said on Wednesday.
But, India witnessed a slight reduction in average mobile download speeds which is 13.41 Mbps, down from 14.00 Mbps in the previous month.

In the study of Ookla, a network intelligence and connectivity insight supplier Ookla the overall performance of India in average download speeds on fixed broadband also showed an increase of 48.11 Mbps in June to 48.03 Mbps in July.

However, the country is still two spots ahead in the global rankings for the overall median fixed broadband speeds.between 72nd in June to 70th in July, thanks to the results of other countries in the index.

According to the July Speedtest Global Index, Lebanon recorded the highest rank increase with a gain of 27 spots across the globe, with the UAE at the top of the list for global median mobile speeds.

For worldwide fixed median speeds Chile continues to be at No.1 spot, with Bhutan increasing by 22 places and Mauritania rising by 21 in position globally.

The Ookla Speedtest Global Index ranks mobile and fixed broadband speeds across the globe on an annual basis.
