Kolkata, November 22nd : , Left-arm spinner Axar Patel said in a video conversation with Harshal Patel it looked like “Patels are winning all” Harshal had said that the player of each match award is shared among them. Harshal was awarded the Player of The Match for his debut figures of 2/25-2 at Ranchi.
Now it was Axar who took the award for his spell at 3/9 at India, which saw India win 3-0 over New Zealand in the T20I series in Kolkata.Harshal won the Eden Gardens ‘gamechanger award’ for his spell at 2/26, and played a useful cameo of 18 from 11 balls.
Although we are still deciding, I don’t know what to do.But it looks like the Man-of-the Match will remain between the Patels and me.Harshal laughed in the BCCI video posted on Monday.Axar laughed and said, “It seems like Patels have won everything.”
Axar commented on the spell that broke New Z’aland’s pursuit, saying, “It’s great to get started with a wicket.” This gives you an entirely different sense of confidence.It was also spinning, and the ball stopped.It was great fun.This is why I think I took three wickets during the Power-play.”
Harshal, when asked about his first series, said, “It’s an extraordinary feeling.It was a surprise that the first match went so well.I haven’t had any good debuts.However, I was able to execute my skills very well so we won the match.”
Harshal said that his success in getting called up to the Indian team was due to a change of mindset.The mindset has been the main factor in my transformation.These skills were also my previous experience.
I have seen the benefits of my mindset shift over the past two years.I decided that I would continue the same mentality in this series, regardless of what I did in IPL.These things work for me, and that makes me very happy.
