Lahore on August 14, : Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has again exuded praise for Indias foreign policy that he claimed is beneficial to the citizens of the nation.At an event in Lahore on the weekend, Khan said that India purchased oil from Russia because it was in the interest of its citizens however the Pakistan government didn’t have the courage to do it despite the soaring inflation, ARY News reported.
“If India can safeguard the interests of their citizens Why can’t our government be able to do the same? Because they fear their properties abroad,” he said.
In the event, according to the reports, Khan played a video clip of Foreign Minister S.Jaishankar.
“Jaishankar has been telling them, who you are? Jaishakar declared that Europe will purchase gasoline from Russia and we will purchase it when people need it’.This is what an independent nation should look as,” Khan said while applauding India.
He reiterated that he only is interested in the interests of Pakistani citizens, Khan said that he is not “anti-America” and would like to have a good relations with the United States, Geo News reported.
“I have a good understanding of America as well as the United Kingdom better than most of the Pakistanis.I understand their mindset If you ask them, they will beg them,” the former prime minister said.
The PTI chairman also said that he has never bow before anyone, and neither will he bow in the near future.
Khan also criticized the current government, claiming the Defence Minister Khawaja Asif back when he was in the opposition had stated that the US has “Pakistan on an air-conditioner”.
“I would like to ask them why is it like that we’re in a coma? For the past 30 years, two familiesthat belonged to the PPP and PML-N were in charge of Pakistan and owe the country,” Khan said, Geo News reported.
