Stella, director of the Amravati Meteorological Center, said there was a possibility of thunder and lightning in several places of Andhra Pradesh for the next four days.

She says that the monsoons became active with winds blowing from the west.IMD Director Stella said there would be rains with thunder and lightning in the next two to three days in the northern coastal belt.

She said that the sea has also become turbulent due to climate change.

The IMD estimates that the southwest monsoon will bring in 94 to 106 per cent rainfall in July.

Sea surface temperatures and climatic conditions indicate that El Nino is neutral in the Pacific Ocean.IMD claims to have made the latest estimates based on several global models.
