The Hyderabad meteorological department has said that the surface trough continues to move from Telangana over Rayalaseema, southern Tamil Nadu and South Karnataka at an altitude of 0.9 km above sea level.
On Monday, the surface periodicity was located in the vicinity of Gangetic-West Bengal, extending up to 5.8 km above sea level.The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Telangana today due to the effect of this surface trough and periodicity.
