Swatchh-Air product of IIT-Hyderabad students’ start-up company, IBRUM Technologies has won the best ten start-up awards in product category at the 28th Annual HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association) Awards.

The low-cost air stabilisation system, Swatchh-Air reduces viral load in the air.According to the makers, it is a UVGI (Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation) and negative ionisation-based system which disinfects the rooms that have harmful pathogens like COVID-19.Apart from winning the Best Ten Start-up award, the product has also received 1-year associate membership of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Hyderabad along with mentoring.

Professor and Director of IIT-H, BS Murty said, they are proud of the team and wished to invent many more innovative products in the future.

He said such products show a positive impact on the society and environment.The product applications include in Hospitals & Clinics, Quarantine Centres, Home-Personal Use and Small Offices.IBRUM Technologies, aiming at mass production of the product and initially the price costs around Rs.12,000 to Rs.15,000 per unit.The makers are confident that it will sell more as it is much beneficial than the current products that cannot treat both bacteria and viruses like COVID-19 and costs Rs.25,000 to Rs.30,000.
