“Old wine in new bottles” is the best way to sum up “Bunty Aur Babli 2,”.Starring Abhishek and Rani Mukerji in the second half of 2005’s wildly popular movie, “Bunty Aur Babli”, is a frosty comedy that has its moments of humor, but is mostly a repeat of the previous film.It does not have much originality and novelty.

This film is essentially the same as the original Bunty (Siddhant Chaurvedi), and the brand new Babli (Sharvari Wagh), but it doesn’t offer much in the way of newness.

They are both engineering students and are disappointed in the system.

The duo are out on the streets and can pull off their con tricks with ease. They send sex-starved men on private charter to a country called Virgin Republic, and sometimes, they give the River Ganga to the mayor. The modus operandi is the same.

Infuriated by their successes, Jatayu, Police Inspector Pankaj Tripathi, who wants to be promoted, hires Bunty (Saifali Khan) and Babli (Rani Mukerji), in order to capture the con duo.

Rakesh Trivedi and Vimmi Trivedi are currently settled at Fursatganj in UP.He is a ticket collector for the Railways. She is a wife and mother of their son, Pappi. This film is about how the two original actors teamed up to trap Bunty (and Babli) by digging into their heads.

While some situations have elements of humor, others are repetitive and well-known.Some dialogues can be funny, but they do not attempt to be humorous.

Film’s weak writing makes it look flat.Characters appear undimensional and thin. It’s also difficult to laugh at the situational comedy, which is a bit rote. The film lacks any exciting plot twists, and even a climax that captivates, so it fails to provide excitement.

Saif Ali Khan puts forth a genuine effort. But he doesn’t fit in Abhishek Bachchan’s shoes.Although he gives the character his own style, he does not compare to Bunty. In Abu Dhabi, he appears more at home as Bhullar (a hawala king) than as the ticket collector for UP.

Rani Mukerji attempts to be a good Punjabi actress, although she doesn’t have the same impact as the original movie and seems a bit too much.

Siddhant chaturvedi is a powerful screen presence.

His suave manner adds charm to the character. It is an absolute joy to see him.Sharvari Wagh also contributes well and presents her character confidently.

Pankaj Tripathi is a sleepwalker because he has a feeling of déjà vu when he sees him dressed in a uniform and in a UP setup.

Asrani and Brijendra Kale, who are all talented actors, get wasted playing small, insignificant parts.Rakesh’s child actor plays Vimmi’s boy.He is confident and shows great promise.

Gavemic U.Ary’s cinematography is well worth noting. The scenes are especially stylishly shot in Abu Dhabi. However, the music lacks passion. It is disappointing.

Despite ‘Tatoowaliye” and Arijit Singh’s ‘Love Ju’ being catchy, the songs aren’t lyrical or worth listening to.

Overall, “Bunty Aur Babli 2” falls short of expectations. It seems to be a weak attempt to recreate the original film.
