It is unfair to demean the air arm of Indian Armed Forces, says IAF.

The statement came following the negative portrayal of IAF in the recently released film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’.

There is a wardrobe scene in the film where Gunjan Saxena, played by Janhvi Kapoor, faces humiliation from the IAF authorities.

This scene was fictionalised far from the reality to glorify the essence of the lead character, pointed out the film critics on IAF allegations.

There are a few scenes like that in the film which misleads the people about IAF and its work culture.

Hence, the IAF has reportedly submitted its objection letter to Dharma Productions, Netflix and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to take immediate action against the negative portrayal of IAF in the film.

The film starring Janhvi Kapoor has released on August 12 and gained mediocre reviews from the critics.

The acting of Pankaj Tripathi has been the only highlight of the film.Right now, the film is streaming on Netflix.
