YSSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy said that I was able to come to the Rajya Sabha because the Congress party was making false cases against us.He was speaking at a special sitting of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday to bid farewell to the 72 Rajya Sabha members who will be retiring in the next two months.He thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for electing and sending him to the Rajya Sabha.
Vijayasaireddy commented to Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu that he feels fortunate to continue as a member of this House under your leadership who are working to preserve discipline, values and decency of the House as Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
Jairam Ramesh, a member of Congress who gave him advice and suggestions during the House proceedings, said he had a special place in his heart.He also thanked Akali Dal members Naresh Gujral for guiding him during his election to the Rajya Sabha.
On this occasion he showered praises on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.He said that he had met with Nirmala Sitharaman on several occasions on various issues pertaining to the state and appreciated those that she listened to them very carefully and made sincere efforts to resolve them.
He especially lauded TG Venkatesh for his exceptional talent as the Chairman of the Tourism and Transport Standing Committee.TG Venkatesh, who has always been at the forefront of the work of all Parliamentary Standing Committees.
On this occasion he said a heartfelt farewell and congratulations to all the fellow members who are retiring.
