June 26 is celebrated as International Anti-Drug Day.However, Narcotics Control Bureau officials seized a large quantity of drugs in Hyderabad.The Narcotics Control Bureau officials said that their value is estimated to be around Rs 100 crore.More than 91 kg of drugs were seized in the raids by NCB officials.
Karnataka and Telangana police received information that drugs were being manufactured at the Hindu Pharma Company in Bidar.Currently, the NCB officials are detaining and questioning Hindu Pharma MD NV Reddy, a resident of HMT Swarnapuri Colony in Miyapur, Hyderabad.
Rs 62 lakhs were seized from his house in connection with drug transactions.
With the information received, Bangalore, and Hyderabad NCB officials conducted a joint operation.
Authorities are conducting raids in both states after finding that drugs were being smuggled heavily in the border areas of Telangana.The homes of several businessmen in Telangana, as well as Karnataka, have been inspected by the NCB officials.
NCB officials found that drugs were being supplied from Hindu Pharma to other states.Recently, the Shamshabad Airport authorities seized a large amount of drugs being smuggled despite strict police surveillance.
