Agra 30 Aug : Hindu outfits are up in arms after one tourist from Jaipur was denied entry into the Taj Mahal with a Lord Krishna idol.The outfits have stated that they will hold protests in the event that no action is initiated against the people who stopped the tour.
A representative of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Agra circle, said he will inquire about the issue with the CISF officials.
Gautam, the tourist Gautam spoke to journalists in the Taj Mahal that the official stated security reasons as the reason for preventing him from going in with the Taj Mahal.
“Laddu Gopal feels like a member of the family and I carry him everywhere.I have been to Mathura as well as Vrindavan with the Lord.
However, here they wanted me to go in without the idol of God,” Gautam said.
Prince Vajpayee, Conservation Assistant (CA) at Taj Mahal said: “I too have got footage in this area.However, I do not know about the date of the incident, Monday or another day.Will inquire about the incident with CISF.
“I will request any shopkeeper who is devout to guard the image of the Lord while we visit the temple.”
Govind Parashar, president of the national branch of the Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat, declared: “Strict action should be taken against those who have disrespected the Lord.If action isn’t initiated, we’ll be protesting.”
