Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) 16 August : The Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha took out an Tiranga Yatra in Muzaffarnagar on Monday with an image of Nathuram Godse in the front. The issue was discovered only after a video of the yatra became to the top of social media late on Monday night.
Hindu Mahasabha head Yogendra Varma said, “We had organized an Tiranga Yatra on Independence Day and the rally took place all over the district.Every one of the most prominent Hindu leaders were present in the event. We had displayed photos of various revolutionaries, as well as Godse was just one of them.”
He added that Godse was compelled by God to assassinate Mahatma Gandhi as a result of the policies he followed.
“Godse was a fighter in his own court and government must publish the things he declared in the courtroom. The government doesn’t want public to know why Gandhi was murdered.
Certain of the decisions of Gandhi were in opposition to Hinduism.During the partition thirty 000 Hindus as well as Muslims were killed and Gandhi was the one to blame for the killings,” he stated.
Yogendra Varma also said that If Godse killed Gandhi, he faced death sentence for it as well.
“Just as some people think Gandhi as their model we feel the same towards Godse,” he added
However, district officials when approached, either feigned total ignorance of the rally or refused speak about it.
