Rajahmundry in East Godavari district on Wednesday recorded the highest temperature in the state at 44.5 degrees.42.2 degrees of temperature is recorded in Visakhapatnam, 42 degrees in Amravati, Bapatla, and Nandigama.Vijayawada and Machilipatnam recorded temperatures of 41 degrees and Kakinada and Kavali areas above 40 degrees.

Stella, director of the Amravati Meteorological Center, said that the temperature had risen due to the impact of the cyclone Yaas, which had reduced the humidity and brought dry winds.

Heatwaves increased as the humidity in the atmosphere decreased.It is reported that thunderstorms lashed 15 zones in Visakhapatnam district and 3 zones in East Godavari district on Wednesday.

Meteorological Department officials said that on Thursday and Friday, several zones in both Godavari, Krishna, and Vijayanagaram districts will be affected by the heat waves and high temperatures.On the other hand, the hot weather continues in the Telangana region with extremely high temperatures.
