The Hyderabad High Court on Monday directed the Telangana state government to complete the election process to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) by January 31, 2016.Few days before the court asked the government to conduct elections by December 15,2015.
Telangana government on Monday sought more time from Court for holding GHMC elections.Responding on the government’s request that preparations were going on for the elections, the court issued orders directing it to complete all the preparations by December 15 and the election process by January 31.
The bench was dealing with a PIL by the Forum for Good Governance challenging the action of the government.The TRS is taking the elections very prestigiously and several leaders exuded confidence that the TRS will win the forthcoming GHMC elections
