It is a known news that the Malayalam super hit film ‘Helen‘ which is directed by Mathukutty Xavier is getting remade in several other languages.Now, this survival thriller is getting remade in Tamil and has been titled as ‘Anbirkiniyal’.
Popular actor Karthi launched the first look poster of the film along with the film’s title recently.
The woman-centric film that had actress Anna Ben in the lead is now being remade in Tamil with young actress Keerthi Pandian reprising the role played by Anna Ben.Keerthi’s father and veteran actor Arun Pandian will be playing the role of her father in the film, which was played by popular Malayalam actor Lal in the original.
Karthi shared the first look posters and tweeted saying, “Happy to reveal the first look of #Anbirkiniyal.Wishing the very best for @DirectorGokul, @iKeerthiPandian and the entire team.” Shot in Chennai and Pondicherry, the filming of ‘Anbirkiniyal’ was wrapped up recently and the film is currently in the post-production stage.
The remake is produced by Arun Pandian’s home banner A&p Groups.It is being directed by Gokul, who has previously helmed films like ‘Rowthiram’, ‘Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara’, ‘Junga’, and ‘Kashmora’.
The film has music by Javed Riaz, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, and cinematography by Mahesh Muthusamy.Stay tuned for more updates!
