Los Angeles, Nov 24, : Helen Mirren, a veteran star, is set to host the series ‘Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses.She feels that she would have to choose Slytherin, the green-themed house in the magical school of Hogwarts. She said, “If I had to choose, Slytherin would be my choice, because Slytherin has a punkishness that appeals to you.” You know, the bad guys on motorbikes.
The Slytherin house, which is the home of the famous author J.K Rowling, features darker wizards like the Malfoy family and Bellatrix lestrange.
Mirren’s admissions are made as she heads the four-part Cartoon Network competition in which players compete in teams with three for their respective Hogwarts houses – whether they be Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff or Slytherin.
Femalefirst.co.uk reports that each house will compete to answer questions about the beloved series to win a trip at the ‘Wizarding World’ theme parks in New York and Orlando.
Mirren, an Oscar-winning actress, said that the show was a lot “hard work”.She was also amazed by the Potter passion still held dear to many.
She said to PEOPLE, “Gosh it’s hard work.It’s really hard work! It’s not easy to do what these people do.It was so much fun, however.It was so much fun.It was exhausting.I fell asleep exhausted at the end of each day.It was great fun.
“I didn’t realize how widespread and profound the absolute engagement with these stories was across the globe, across races, genders, and ages.These stories are engaging and people really, truly engage with them.That is a beautiful story in itself.
