He said that he doesn’t regret the demolition of the Babri Mosque in Ayodhya.
In an exclusive interview with IANS he talked about how the “Kar Sevaks”, who gathered on December 6, 1992, destroyed the Babri mosque.

This was described by him as an act of exemplary courage.

Katiyar also spoke out about how Bajrang Dal mobilized people to join Ram Janmabhoomi’s movement.

She also spoke extensively on the demand to build a temple in Kashi or Mathura after Ayodhya.

Q: How did the atmosphere change in Ayodhya after the Bajrang Dal cadres gathered for symbolic “kar seva” on December 6, 1992?

A: Bajrang Dal cadres asked for a symbolic “kar seva” but on December 6, the patience and determination of the kar-sevaks prevailed. They felt they were being asked to assemble in Ayodhya time and again, but it wouldn’t serve any purpose.

It is not a good idea to bring soil from the Saryu and place it near the disputed structure.

This structure is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram.The kar sevaks became furious and climbed up on top of the mosque to demolish it.It was necessary to remove the disputed structure in order for the temple construction to take place.Only the kar sevaks who were present on that day deserve credit.

After removing the dome-like structure of mosque, thousands of kar sevaks and leaders of Hindu groups were sent to prison.

Q: Why did the kar sevaks suddenly become angry?

A: People were upset that they were called multiple times for ‘kar seva’.They used to visit Ayodhya after spending money on gathering at the disputed location, but this was of little importance since nothing much happened. It was December, which coincided with the onset winter.

People were upset and thought repeatedly that they would move out of Ayodhya this time after destroying the disputed structure.

Q: What was the atmosphere in Ayodhya, December 6, 1992?

A: The atmosphere in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992 was very emotional because it was the day for sacrifice. Many kar sevaks had attempted to climb the dome of the mosque, but they didn’t believe that the structure would fall. Many people died after falling from the mosque’s top.The dome-shaped structure was also weak and could collapse by itself. There was also a risk of people being crushed, but the kar sevaks displayed remarkable courage.

December 6, 1992 was a similar day to ‘Shaurya Diwas. It is not necessary to describe how the structure was taken down and what happened that day.The entire country knows the details of that fateful day.

Q: However, many BJP leaders expressed their grief after the Babri demolition incident.

A: We wanted the disputed building to be removed from Ayodhya, but we didn’t expect it would be done in this manner. However, I didn’t feel any grief as the disputed structure had eventually to be removed.

Q: Yet, the opposition parties continue to criticize the BJP for the demolition of the Babri mosque?

A: This is why the opposition parties are in ruins. They are not visible and will cease to exist in future.

Opposition members have obstructed construction of the Ram temple.Their governments were guilty of obstructing construction of the Ram temple, but they have been rejected by the citizens.

Now is the time for construction after the demolition.

Q: You were given the responsibility to connect the youth with Ram Janmabhoomi. How did you mobilize this movement through Bajrang Dal

A: When the Bajrang Dal started the Ram Temple movement in 1984, it took a lot to get the country emotionally involved, especially the youth. We considered forming the Bajrang Dal at that time.

Ashok Singhal, a leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, gave permission to form Bajrang Dal.Paramhans Ramchandra Das Ji was made chief patron of Bajrang Dal, which was created with the blessings from the saints. Some people laughed at him for taking the name of Vanar, but we had formed the Hindu group with a well-thought-out strategy.

Q: But now, your party leaders are raising the Kashi-Mathura issue?

A: Mathura has seen a movement that is correct. There is already a temple there. Our only demand is that the Idgah, or mosque, be removed from this place. This is the birthplace for Lord Krishna. We also request that this land be given to Hindus.I appeal to Muslims to give this land for Hindus society, as Lord Krishna is seated beneath the mosque.

Q: What did the BJP think when the Ram temple movement began? How did the party believe that this movement would succeed? How many years would this movement be successful, did you think?

A: Although the party didn’t know how long it would take to realize the dream of Ram temple, we believed that we would succeed.Yes, it took some time. Many people were killed.

We succeeded and now it is time to build the temple. All devotees to Lord Ram who are going Ayodhya will be happy.

The party is also happy.People used to laugh at us when we did a ‘padyatra” from Ayodhya, Lucknow in 1984.

We sought the blessings from Hindu seers at that time. The movement was also supported by the Naga Sadhus, who refused to travel beyond Kumbh Mela. The country’s youth has also been awakened.Slogans like ‘Go ahead, speak loudly’, ‘Open the lock of Ram’s birthplace’, or ‘Build an temple’ were created.

Q: A grand Ram temple is now being built in Ayodhya by the Supreme Court. What do you think?

A: This is the greatest achievement.A grand temple of Lord Ram is currently being built in Ayodhya, on the orders from the Supreme Court. The bench that passed this order included judges from all religions.

They unanimously voted in favor of the construction Ram temple. This is not an easy matter.

The landmark ruling of the apex court is itself a landmark decision. The construction of the temple began after this order.
