Govt provoking Oppn to disrupt House: Kharge in RS

New Delhi, December 13, 2013 : .On Monday, Mallikarjun Kharge, a leader of opposition, claimed in Rajya Sabha, that the government forces the opposition to disrupt its House by refusing to revoke the suspension of 12 MPs.
Kharge stated, “The government does not consider its decision and you, the chairman, are the custodians of the House so we ask that the suspension is revoked.” We decide to walk out because the government’s obstinate view is to make the opposition disrupt the House.

Chairman M.Venkaiah Naidu called a halt to the House at 12 noon, and said that both sides must resolve the issue.

“House adjourned till noon,” he said.

Earlier, Congress Deputy leader Anand Sharma said, “The leader of the House is here and we request that the suspension be revoked.” This was supported by DMK MP Tiruchi Siva.

The suspended MPs are Syed Naseer Hussain, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Phulo Devi Netam, Chhaya Verma, Ripun Bora and Rajmani Patel of the Congress; Priyanka Chaturvedi, Anil Desai of the Shiv Sena; Elamaram Kareem of the CPI-M, Binoy Viswam of the CPI; and Dola Sen and Shanta Chhetri of the Trinamool Congress.
