Mamata denies Bengal a governance framework

New Delhi, December 30, : , The BJP claimed Thursday that Chief Minister Mamata Bangerjee has ripped apart West Bengal’s governance structure.
This comment was made after Jagdeep Dhankhar, West Bengal Governor, claimed that 24 universities in the state had been appointed as Vice-Chancellors without his consent.

Amit Malviya, West Bengal BJP’s co-incharge, stated that Banerjee had destroyed every institution within the state.

He said that “She” (Banerjee), is not temperamentally fit to be in any public office.

Malviya, quoting Dhankhar’s tweet, said that Mamata Banerjee had ripped apart the governance structure in West Bengal.She has destroyed every institution.

It would take a lot of effort to rebuild West Bengal after her devastation.Her temperament is not suitable for any office.

Dhankhar stated earlier in the day that VCs at 24 universities had been appointed without approval from the Chancellor.This is also the Governor’s appointing authority.

The Governor stated that these appointments do not carry any legal sanction.He said that he would have to act if the appointment was not recalled soon enough.

Dhankhar was the former officio Chancellor at the state-run Universities.

The Governor called a meeting earlier this month but the Vice-Chancellors and Chancellors of private universities didn’t attend.
