Assam government recently announced free scooties to 22,000 girls who passed class 12 in the first division under ‘Pragyan Bharti’ Scheme.
Not so long ago, the Assam government has launched ‘Pragyan Bharti’ scheme to improve the quality of education in the lower class.Through the scheme, the government is providing free administration, textbooks distribution and other important facilities to the students.
In a recent press meet, the Assam State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced scooty provision to 22,000 girl students who got first in class 12.The scooties, which cost Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000 each, will be delivered by October.The students will have an option to choose electric scooty, however, they have to afford the registration charges on their own, and the scooty cannot be sold for three years.
On the other hand, the state government has also begun Provincialisation of schools and colleges and it is estimated that over 3,980 jobs will be made regular.The Minister informed the process starts from August 27, and nearly 7000 teachers will get jobs in Primary and middle schools.
Amid Covid-19, the government is also planning to open the schools and colleges in a phased manner from this September.
