Lucknow 10 Aug : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that his administration will offer free travel for women over 60 of old in the state-owned buses. In a tweet the chief minister tweeted the announcement on Wednesday.
Free bus transportation for seniors women residents was one of the pledges made by BJP in their manifesto.
The chief minister also provided free bus rides for women for 48 hours in the state to mark the day of Raksha Bandhan.
Yogi Adityanath announced Yogi Adityanath said that women are able to travel for free in government buses from the 10th of August (12 a.m.) until the 12th of August (12 a.m.).
He tweeted “On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in Uttar Pradesh all mothers daughters, sisters and sisters will be given free transportation during the next 48-hour period in government buses starting at 12 midnight till 12 midnight on the 12th of August.”
“Very very soon in Uttar Pradesh we are planning to launch free travel for those who are over 60 years of age in public busses, “he added.
