The Government Is Going To Enforce The Ban For 61 Days Until June 14.

Against This Backdrop, The Government Decided To Provide Financial Assistance Of Ten Thousand Rupees To Fishermen Who Depend On Fishing For Their Livelihood.

The Government Is Currently Working On The Eligible List Of People In The Village Secretariats And Planning To Deposit The Money Directly In Their Bank Accounts On May 18.

The Fishing Ban Will Be Limited To Motorboats Until 2018.

Authorities Are Paying Compensation Only For Registered Boats.Only Those Between The Age Of 21 And 60 Are Eligible For Compensation.

Fishermen Say That Compensation Of Ten Thousand Rupees Is Not Enough And Are Asking The Government To Increase The Compensation.

They Are Also Demanding That The Age Limit Should Be Removed.
