A string of new measures have already been implemented.Adding to the list, a novelistic approach has been deployed in the police department.
Talking to the media, Hyderabad CP Anjani Kumar stated that citizens can file a complaint without even coming to the police station.‘Citizens need not come to the police station anymore to complain.
They can give a written complaint to the patrolling team on their premises.An FIR will be filed depending on the complaint received.
At times the Station Officer or writer may not be present in the station.This new approach will eliminate the inconvenience.
We are implementing this in the Hyderabad Commissionerate initially, and will implement in all other commissionerates soon’, he said.
Though this is being lauded, few people still expressed their reservations.
‘No one bothers even if we file a complaint going to the PS.And the CP says, all that you need to do is give a complaint to the patrolling team.This is a novel idea, and will remain so,’ said a lawyer.
