In a shocking case a 31-year-old doctor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) allegedly committed suicide by slashing her wrist at a hotel room in central Delhi’s Paharganj on Sunday.The reason behind her extreme step is said to be unbearable torture of her Gay husband who also a doctor in same hospital.
In a four-page suicide note, the deceased Priya Vedi mentioned that failed marriage, breach of trust and hiding of the sexual orientation by her husband Dr.Kamal Vedi, were the reasons behind this extreme step.
The police recovered a suicide note which reveals that she was physically and mentally tortured by her Gay husband, Dr.Kamal Vedi.Before committing suicide, Priya also wrote a note on her Facebook account.
She alleged that her husband was gay and he used to torture her for dowry.
Her husband who is also an AIIMS doctor was arrested on Sunday afternoon.According to the note posted on the doctor’s Facebook page, Priya and her husband were married for five years.
“We don’t have any physical relation till now… I found a fake gmail account in his laptop in which he was doing chatting with his gay friends and these messages were before of our marriage (sic),” the note on facebook said.
“In spite of knowing this I decided to help him to b as a wife with him.But he tortured me a lot mentally… And at last night he tortured me emotionally so I am unabl to take breath with him… You are not a human being you are a devil, who take away my life from me (sic),” the note added.
Priya had slit her writs with a sharp-edged weapon and was lying in unconscious condition.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.According to Priya’s family members, she told them about her husband’s sexual orientation around two years ago.
