Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra, has been arrested in connection with the incident.However, farmers across the country today staged a rail bandh demanding the arrest of Union Minister Ajay Mishra in the case and his removal from the cabinet.

Farmers called for a six-hour Rail Roko protest.At Bahadurgarh in Haryana, farmers sat on rails and organized agitation.

The Samyuktha Kisan Morcha (SKM) has called for this protest.

Concerns over the Lakhimpur Kheri incident are still lingering in the country.

Four farmers were killed when Union Minister Ashish Mishra’s car crashed into a farmers’ rally.Also, five others were killed in the ensuing incident.The event became a nationwide sensation.Recently, Ashish Mishra has been arrested by the police and is being interrogated.

However, the farmer unions are raising concerns on a large scale over the incident.Farmers’ unions are demanding action against Ashish Mishra and Union Home Affairs Minister Ajay Mishra.As part of this, farmers’ unions today called for a nationwide Rail Roko.Farmers’ unions said the rail roko would be held today from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m.
