Bloating the boxoffice numbers is not a new trend in film industry.From Bollywood to any small regional film industry, fake numbers are everywhere.
Sarrainodu and DJ – Duvvada Jagannadham were under fake collection controversy for a long time.Even the teams of Spyder and Jai Lava Kusa tried to bloat their numbers.Now it’s Jai Simha’s turn.
New series of Jai Simha posters have been released to the media with a statement “2018 Sankranthi Winner – 50 Crore Club”.
Partly, this statement is true and partly it is not.While it is an undeniable fact that Jai Simha turned out to be the Sankranthi winner and the only hit this festive season, the film joining 50 cr club is false as of now.
Jai Simha collected around 26 cr share in it’s 10 days of run.The worldwide gross was around 43 cr.So, by gross or share, in none of these boxoffice calculations Jai Simha joined 50cr club.The new posters are nothing but publicity stunts from the team.
Would have been better had they only satisfied with the Sankranthi winner tag which they have got genuinely.
