New Delhi, Aug 19 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has identified Delhi’s deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia as accused no.1.in its FIR filed in the context with the infractions in Delhi excise policy of the Delhi government. The FIR was filed in accordance with Sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 477-A (falsification of accounts) of the Indian Penal Code.
The main complaint against Sisodia are that businessmen who deal in liquor were granted an exemption of 30 crores of rupees and the license holders were granted extensions according to their own wishes.
The rules for the policy were formulated by ignoring the excise rules the FIR stated.
The CBI on Friday, November 21, has been placed in seven states across the nation in the context with the investigation including the Delhi Sisodia residence.of Sisodia.
