Washington 19th, August : The former Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg has admitted guilt for tax evasion. The incident occurred on Thursday.75-year-old confessed to 15 felonies stemming from an arrangement to defraud taxpayers of lavish benefits, according to Xinhua news agency.
He must now testify in an indictment against the Trump Organization later this year as part of an agreement to plead guilty with the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
According to the conditions of the plea agreement, Weisselberg is expected to be sentenced to a prison term of five months and will have to pay close to $2 million in taxes.
The Trump Organization has been accused of aiding Weisselberg and others in getting around income tax by not reporting their exact compensation.
The company has attempted to dismiss the charges by claiming they were motivated by politics.
Former President Donald Trump is not charged in this case.
