Visakhapatnam : , The Eastern Naval Command has taught the first batch of Andhra Pradesh marine police officers the basics of coastal security.On December 20, the four-day training in coastal security began at Sagar Prahari Bal. The maiden training capsule, which is part of ENC’s coastal security initiatives, was attended by fifteen marine police officers representing eight states.
Under the guidance of Andhra Pradesh’s naval officer in charge, the training capsule included classroom instruction on navigation, seamanship and damage control.
Participants received practical training aboard a fast interceptor boat and were also taught how to navigate in harbours, coast navigation, patrol and report on contacts.
Cmde MG Raju (Naval Officer in Charge, Andhra Pradesh), presented certificates to participants.
