Emraan hashmi will next be seen in films like ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Tiger 3’.He says he never wanted to be an actor, but considers it the “best accident” of moving to a new territory.
Emraan, in a chat with IANS, said that his 18-year-long journey as a Bollywood actor was a learning experience.It’s been a wonderful journey with highs and lows.Working on some amazing projects, meeting people.Since I made the decision to become an actor, it has been the best decision.
Actor ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’says he wouldn’t want it any other.
He said, “I never really wanted the acting career until a year after I went to college.”
Emraan, unlike other Bollywood stars has a filmography that is as diverse as chalk and cheese.
Given his experience in many genres including drama, romance comedy horror, suspense, and political thrillers, how does he choose projects?
“Well, it is the script.It’s all about that script.It’s all about the director’s passion to write that script and give it his everything.And of course, the producer on how they envision it going to be realized.And of course, the character I am playing, it must be interesting and different from anything I have done before,” said the star at 42.
What is it that makes him say no?
Pat replied, “The same thing.” If the script doesn’t excite me.It will be a big no.There is nothing else that can convince me.”
Emraan, who has been a part of Bollywood for so many years, agrees that the industry can be brutal as it defines an actor’s career through the hits and misses.
Emraan stated: “Yeah, of course.There’s no doubt about it.It’s like a Friday stock, where it either goes up or down and no actor is immune.Failure is not an option.Success does not last.These pitfalls.the highs, and lows – must be accepted.
