South Indian sensational film Drishyam which originally starrer Mohan Lal in lead role later remade into Telugu and Kannada.The film proved as success in all three languages and thanks to the storyline of the film which makes audience to seat on edge.
Now the movie has landed in legal troubles.Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor has apparently sent a notice to Drishyam makers for allegedly copying the plot from a book she has bought film rights for.Ekta Kapoor has acquired the films rights of Japanese author Keigo Higashino’s book, The Devotion Of Suspect X.She plans to soon make a film based on this book.Apparently, there have been reports about Mohanlal starrer Drishyam film is made based on a plot similar to outline of this book.Ekta’s team watched Drishyam recently and deduced that this film is an adaptation of novel.
Many elements in Drishyam are similar to those in Keigo Higashino’s book.After remaking it in Telugu and Kannada, it has been declared as hit in their respective cine industries,Universal star Kamal Haasan is doing the lead role in the remake of Drishyam in Tamil.
Pooja of this movie held recently in chennai.Both Telugu and Kannada versions are super hits and Tami version is expected to do much bigger business because of Kamal Haasan presence.
