New Delhi, Aug 7 : As part of discussions about the expansion of the cabinet in Maharashtra the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is in the capital city of India in which he will be attending the NITI Aayog meeting on Sunday. After arriving in Delhi Saturday morning, Shinde said that he will be visiting the capital city of India to take part in the NITI Aayog meeting.
Over 35 days have gone by since Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took the swearing of the office, but the cabinet has still to be expanded.
According to sources, Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are currently in the capital city and could discuss the possibility of cabinet expansion with the top officials of the BJP.
It is said that a list of ministers is prepared and the approval of BJP the high command is been sought for the allocation of departments.
The 30th of June, the rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena under the direction of Shinde has formed a a government with the backing of BJP.But they are have been under constant criticism of opposition over the non-expansion of the cabinet until now. The issue of affiliation of MLAs who are rebels is in the process in the Supreme Court.
It is believed that the cabinet could be formed prior to August 15.
