Panaji 27 August : Panaji, Aug 27 : Goa Police on Saturday said that the drug ‘Metamemphatamine’ was given to Sonali Phogat was found in the bathroom of the Curlies restaurant in Anjuna-Goa.
“Based on the information of the accused Sudhir Sangwan the drugs that were allegedly that were given to the deceased were taken in the bathroom of the Curlies restaurant.

The drugs were determined to be Metamemphatamine,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi told the media.

He said that an investigation found that the illegal drugs were provided by Dattaprasad Gaonkar who was employed as a roomboy in Hotel Grand Leoney Resort in Anjuna in the city in which the accused as well as the deceased were staying.

Phogat arrived in Goa on the 22nd of August.He was staying in an hotel in Anjuna.

She began to feel uneasy at night on Monday, and the next day, she was transported to the St.Anthony hospital in Anjuna where she was declared dead.

Police have registered offenses within Sections 22 (b) 29 and 25 of NDPS Act against the owner of Curlies restaurant Edwin Nunes and Dattaprasad Gaonkar.Both were detained.

A Goa court in Goa on Saturday has given a 10-day police detention of Sudhir Sangwan (PA of Phogat) and Sukhwinder Singh, two accused suspects detained in the case of murder of BJP actor and leader Sonali Phogat.

Four arrested persons have been identified in the murder case of Sonali Phogat.

The Inspector General of Police Omvir Singh Bishnoi has said that Sangwan has admitted to the crime, stating that, after arriving at Goa, he along with Singh took Phogat to Curlies in the pretense of having a party and he mixed an “obnoxious” substance in drinking water and then forced the victim to take it in.

Bishnoi has also stated that CCTV footages of relevant locations were analyzed by the investigating officer.
