Mohan Lal starrer ‘Drishyam’ is one of the well-made thrillers in recent times.This Malayalam film was later remade into many other languages.
In Telugu, Venkatesh remade with the same name in 2013 and ended up with the same result.Moreover, after the release of ‘Drishyam 2’ in Malayalam, the producer of ‘Drishyam 2’ and the director Jeethu Joseph met Venky and Suresh Babu in Hyderabad and finalized the Telugu remake as well.
The shooting for the Telugu remake is undergoing at a very fast pace and the makers planning to wrap up the shoot by the end of this month.Moreover, an interesting update we receive from the team is that they are planning to release the film on June 20th coinciding with International Father’s Day.
The entire series of ‘Drishyam’ films in all languages revolves around the father who saves his family by hook or crook.Hence, this release date will be a beautiful gesture to the film’s concept.
Jeetu Joseph who directed the original will be directing the remake as well.Suresh Productions is producing the project.
The shooting of the film has started on the 8th of March and the team has erected a small house set in Kerala suburban area.As most of the film scenes will take place in the house, the team is expecting to finish a major shoot portion in the location.
