Receiving the Man-of the-Match award in the first match of a series is an incredible feeling.
Harshal Patel’s brilliant bowling performance against New Zealand in Ranchi’s second T20I brought him to the elite group of Indian cricketers.
Seven Indian players have so far won the Man of the Match award, including Subramaniam Badrinath and Dinesh KARTHIK, Pragyan Ojha as well as Axar Patel, Pragyan Obha, Pragyan Sainath, Pragyan Om, Pragyan Ojha and Harshal Patel.
Although Axar Patel, Karthik and Saini continue to play international cricket, Ojha, Badrinath and Sran have been withdrawn from the game.
Karthik is the first Indian cricketer who has achieved this feat.He made his debut against South Africa in December 2006.
This was the first T20 International played between India and South Africa.India was able to chase down the target of 126 runs with just one ball.
Karthik was adjudged to be the best player, having made 31 runs from 28 balls.
Ojha, who is known for his superb leg-spin bowling skills in T20I against Bangladesh on June 6, 2009 was named Man of the Match.
India scored 180 runs, Ojha took four wickets and gave away 21 runs.

Badrinath, another Indian cricketer, also achieved this feat.Badrinath was a solid performer in IPL Season 4; he was also selected for the T20I team to tour West Indies in 2011.
Badrinath, who scored 43 runs from 37 balls against West Indies to win India by 16 runs won the Man-of the-Match award.Badrinath was not chosen for the next tour, so this was his first match.
This list also includes Spinner Axar Ptel, who was awarded Man-of the-Match on his T20I debut.Axar was a debutant against Zimbabwe in 2015.Axar’s superb bowling allowed India to score 178 runs while Zimbabwe managed 124 runs.Axar took three wickets and gave away only 17 runs.
Sran, another Indian player to win the award for his T20I debut was also nominated.He gave away only 10 runs against Zimbabwe and took four wickets.
India beat Zimbabwe by 99 runs thanks to his bowling.India was able to easily reach the goal.
Harshal was preceded by Navdeep Saini, an Indian cricketer who won the award in his T20I debut.This feat was achieved against West Indies, August 3, 2019.
In his four innings, Saini gave up 17 runs, and took three wickets which helped India limit West Indies’ run total to 95.India won the entire match by chasing down the goal.
