Dr Reddy’s Laboratories launched Avigan (Favipiravir) for Covid-19 patients.
One of the leading pharma company, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories recently brought up a new Covid-19 drug, Avigan (Favipiravir).The 200 mg tablet will be used for the treatment of patients suffering from mild to moderate Coronavirus.The company has instigated the process to distribute the drug in 42 cities across India.
Also, the company has established a home delivery service to increase the availability of the drug.Anyone can reach out the officials at a helpline 1800-267-0810/ between 9 AM to 9 PM from Monday to Saturday.
The company has got approvement for Avigan from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) with efficacy, affordability and better disease management as key priorities, said the Chief Executive MV Ramana.
The Avigan drug comes up with a pack of 122 tablets which have an expiry period of 2 years.Right now, Sun Pharma, Lupin and Glenmark are the other companies to release the Favipiravir drug for the treatment of Covid-19.
