Panaji, Nov 18, : , Luizinho Faleiro, former chief minister of Goa and national vice-president of Trinamool Congress on Thursday refuted Congress’s claims that he had joined West Bengal-based party in September to receive “retirement benefits”. After submitting his nomination to the Rajya Sabha from West Bengal, Faleiro addressed a Panaji press conference.
He claimed that joining the Trinamool gave him the feeling of being “born again” instead.
When asked by reporters about the charge made against Dinesh Gundu Rao (All India Congress Committee Goa), he said that Luizinho Faeiro had not arrived for a retirement plan.
He also stated that Luizinho Faleiro quit Congress in September to receive retirement benefits.He also stated that he had a “new rebirth” to combat the vultures in Goa’s skies.
Faleiro said also that Congress in Goa was not entitled to accuse Trinamool Congress, of trying to split the “secular” vote.
What division do you mean? You are not selling votes, but MLAs wholesale.You have no right to say to the citizens, “Give us your votes.” Faleiro stated that these people (Congress), are not responsible for secular votes.
Trinamool is not here to split votes.Trinamool came to Goa in order to give Goans a voice in the Parliament and good governance.This is what they greatly deserve.” he said.
Faleiro stated that the Trinamool will focus its attention on Goa’s model for the forthcoming Assembly elections and not import models from Delhi, Gujarat, or West Bengal.
