There were several films that had kickstarted their shoot schedules around March but had to put it on hold due to the pandemic induced lockdown.One of them is Bollywood filmmaker Aanand.L.Rai’s next film ‘Atrangi Re’ starring Dhanush, Akshay Kumar, and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles.
The film went on floors in March as Sara and Dhanush had already finished the film’s first schedule in Varanasi.The team was shooting in Benares but the shoot was later halted when the coronavirus-induced nationwide lockdown was announced.
Written by Himanshu Sharma and produced by Colour Yellow Productions, this film has music by AR.Rahman.
Now the latest update is that Dhanush is all set to resume shooting for this by the first week of October in Madurai.It is being said that the makers have made a three-month plan to shoot the upcoming schedule of the movie with the cast by shooting in three different locations including Madurai in October followed by Delhi and then Mumbai in the following months.
Apparently, ‘Atrangi Re’ is Dhanush’s third film in Bollywood after ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Shamitabh’, and it is his second outing with director Anand.L.Rai.Sources say that the director is planning to shoot scenes featuring Dhanush and Akshay Kumar in the Madurai schedule.The team is reportedly planning to release the film for Valentine’s day 2021.
