Hyderabad 5 August : A Mosque destroyed by Hyderabad’s municipal authorities in Shamshabad located on the edge of Hyderabad just four days ago is scheduled to be Rebuilt at the same location, an AIMIM legislator of AIMIM announced on Friday.Kausar Mohiuddin who is a Member of the Telangana Assembly, along with other local leaders of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and residents of the area held prayers on Friday at the same location in Green Avenue Colony where Masjid-e-Khaja Mahmood was razed on Tuesday.
Following the prayers, he said the Mosque will be Rebuilt in the same location.He claimed that due to the advice of AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Hyderabad’s state government has permitted the rebuilding of the mosque.
Police had put in place strict security measures in the region to avoid any incident that could be considered to be unintentional.There were only 50 individuals permitted to offer prayers on Friday.
The demolishment of the Mosque led to an intense protest from local Muslims.AIMIM leaders have staged protests at the municipal offices and in the office of Rangareddy district Collector.
Making a note of the demolition, Owaisi submitted a appeal at the level of the government.The Municipal Administration department had formed an advisory committee of three members, who went to the office of the municipality as well as the location in which the Mosque was destroyed.
It was clear following the visit of the panel that the government would not create obstacles in the reconstruction of the mosque.
The committee of management of the Mosque together with AIMIM leaders given all documents related to the construction approval of the Mosque to municipal officials.
They also demanded a swift action against the officials who were responsible for the demolition.
The Mosque was built three years ago.Local residents pray five times a day.Namaz, including Friday prayers.regularly performed.
The authorities of the municipal government Demolished the Mosque using bulldozers in the presence of police in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
The action was initiated following the complaint of one of the residents that the site of worship was built without approval.
Local Muslim residents however, claimed the Mosque was constructed after getting all the necessary approvals.
