Delhivery buys US-based drone maker Transition Robotics

New Delhi, Dec 8, 2008 : .Delhivery, the fastest-growing logistics player, announced Wednesday that it had acquired US-based Transition Robotics Inc, which is focused on developing Unmanned Aerial System platforms (UAS), for an undisclosed amount.
This acquisition will increase Delhivery’s capabilities in many applications, including aerial photography and remote sensing.

“While we build our supply chain platform, it is important to look at the long-term developments that will shape the industry.

Bringing TRI aboard gives us a chance get directly involved in core Drone Technology as regulations for drones are changing in the country,” stated Kapil Bharati Chief Technology Officer, Delhivery.

Transition Robotics provides all aspects of small UAS from hardware and software design, testing, validation, manufacturing, and maintenance.

California-based Transition Robotics introduced the JumpShip in 2015.

It is a fully autonomous platform that allows commercial operators to combine multirotor’s operational flexibility with fixed-wing aircraft’s efficient, fast flight.
