New Delhi, December 14 : .Delhi will experience one of its coldest days in winter with the lowest temperature falling to 5 degrees Celsius on Dec 20, according to data released by the India Meteorological Department on Tuesday. The IMD says that the minimum temperature for Thursday will be 7°C, Saturday and Sunday will reach 6°C, and then it will rise to 5° on Tuesday, December 20, according to IMD.
Foggy mornings and a drop in temperature will also affect the maximum temperature.
Tuesday’s maximum temperature was 23° Celsius.The relative humidity of 8.30 am in the capital measured at 95%.
After a slight improvement for a few days, Delhi-NCR’s Air Quality Index(AQI) has deteriorated again to the’very bad’ category.
According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), 9 a.m.AQI was 335.
The levels of PM 10 and PM 2.5 pollutants in the air were recorded at 274 and 165 in the ‘poor’ and ‘very poor’ categories, respectively.
“The air quality over Delhi-NCT is likely to remain in the very poor category on December 14 and 15.The air quality is likely to improve and remain in the lower end of the very poor to poor category on December 16.The air quality is likely to improve significantly from December 16 onwards due to relatively stronger wind,” said the air quality and weather bulletin for Delhi-NCR.
