Delhi’s AQI rises from’severe to’very poor.

New Delhi 25 December : .After passing the 400 mark a few days ago, Delhi’s Air Quality Index(AQI) improved slightly on Saturday, to 398.

This is at the lower end the’very low’ category.
The air quality will improve but still remain below the “very poor” category for December 25-26.

The forecast for the next five days: Air quality will improve from December 27, when AQI was in the ‘poor/moderate category,” stated weather and air quality bulletin.

A AQI of between 50 and 50 is considered a good score, 51 to 100 a satisfactory score, 101 to 200 a moderate score, 201 to 300 if you are poor, 301 or 400 if you are very poor, and between 401 500 and 500 is considered severe.

Both the levels of PM10 and PM2.5 pollutants were found in the “very poor” category.

According to India Meteorological Department, (IMD), the maximum and minimum temperature in Delhi at 9:00 a.m.Saturday was recorded as 23 degrees Celsius and 7 degrees Celsius respectively.

At 8.30 am, the relative humidity was 95 percent.

IMD also forecast light rain and drizzle in Delhi between December 26-28.

According to the forecast, cloudy skies with some rain will prevail on December 26.Cloudy skies with drizzle or light rain are possible on December 27, and cloudy skies with rain or drizzle on the 27th.
