New Delhi, Nov 30, : .The Delhi High Court rejected Tuesday’s petition asking for direction from the Centre or Delhi government to stop publication, circulation and sale of Salman Khurshid, former Union Minister and Congress leader,’controversial’ book.

It was alleged that it made remarks about Hindutva and compared it to radical jihadist groups such as ISIS and Boko Haram.
The Chief Justice D.N.Singh presided over the bench, which refused to entertain the plea.Jyoti and Patel, observing that the petitioner had not even made the author of the book or publication house a party to the petition.

After many complaints were made against Khurshid’s new book “Sunrise Over Ayodhya, Nationhood in Our Times”, there was a controversy.

In it, Khurshid compares Hindutva with radical Islamist groups such as ISIS and Boko Haram.

The comment was made in the chapter “The Saffron Sky”, Page 113.It reads: “Sanatan Dharma and classical Hinduism, which were known to sages or saints, was being pushed aside and replaced by a robust version Hindutva by all standards.”

The High Court dismissed the petition of a Delhi lawyer in a similar case last week.

During the hearing on November 25, Justice Yashwant Varm had orally noted that it was just a small excerpt from the book.

The counsel also argued that the book would create problems for the community and requested that the excerpt be removed.

“Tell everyone that the book was poorly written.Tell them to find something better.

What can we do if they are so sensitive? The judge dismissed the petition while stating that nobody had asked them to read it.
