Mumbai 8 August : The trailer of the second season of the International Emmy Awards winning crime-drama streaming series ‘Delhi Crime’ revealed on Monday.It is the return of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, played by Shefali Shah whom we call “Madam Sir in the show, as well as her trusted crew. The first season was inspired by the 2012 Delhi Gangrape Case, the second season will be based on an array of horrific murders in the capital city of India that will keep Vartika’s team on toes.
With public fear rising and the media seeking answers, she will be forced to make difficult choices.
In her first appearance in the role of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi Shefali said, “I am a huge fan of every character I’ve played, but DCP Vartika Chaturvedi is always the most memorable.And I’m very happy of the role and “Delhi Crime’ as a series.It’s my absolute favorite.It’s also my favorite she.For an actor, it’s satisfying to play characters such as these.”
The actress shed light on what the upcoming season will have in the store for viewers The actress revealed, “This season, the viewers will witness a more vulnerable and human side of these experienced police officers.I am proud to say that, Delhi Crime is a reflection of our love of storytelling and craft, and we are eagerly awaiting the viewers to watch it!”
The show is developed by SK Global Entertainment, Golden Karavan and Film Karavan.
“Delhi Crime 2,” similar to its predecessor is influenced by real-life events and is directed by director and showrunner Tanuj Chopra.
When discussing his vision for season 2 Tanuj Chopra said, “Inspired by true events this season is a look into the moral code of the Delhi Police.DCP Vartika Chaturvedi and team have grown from the last season.We’ll see them consider the consequences of a number of difficult decisions.whether it’s emotional or procedural.”
The show also features Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Yashaswini Dayama, Sidharth Bhhardwaj, Gopal Dutt Denzil Smith, Tillotama Shome Jatin Goswami, Vyom Yadav and Ankit Sharma.
“Delhi Crime 2′ is set to be released on the streaming platform Netflix on August 26 2022.
