New Delhi : , November 23, 2013 – The Delhi Police has set up an independent and designated police station in each 15 District to deal with cases of cybercrime. A Gazette notice from Delhi Home Department states that the Cyber Police Station East and Cyber Police Station North-East will be established.
According to the Department, it is necessary to establish a Cyber Police Station in every notified district for investigating and investigating cases.This will allow the Department to extend better police assistance to the general public.
These new stations will be able to supervise the entire police area for which Cyber Police Station has been notified.
Cybercrimes that have risen in national capital include email frauds and mobile app-related crimes.
Cyber Crime Cell of Delhi Police, a special unit that deals with all sensitive and complex cases of cybercrime including victims who are children or women, is the Cyber Crime Cell of Delhi Police.
Cyber crime cell was the first to be equipped with state-of-the art Cyber Lab, which included cyber forensic capabilities like data extraction from hard drives, mobile phone imaging, hash calculation and forensic servers.
It also had portable forensic tools that could be used on site, including data extracting from Android and iOS smartphones.
The Delhi Police now has to establish the same cyber lab in each of its 15 district offices.
